The exhibition “Gustav Klimt and Kunstlerkompanie” featuring paintings commissioned by King Carol I of Romania from Viennese artists Gustav Klimt and Franz Matsch while in their youth, will be on between September 15 and December 15 at Peles Castle.
The exhibition will be open on Wednesdays between 11:00 – 17:00 and from Thursday to Sunday, between 9:15 – 17:00. Entry tickets are RON 6 for adults and RON 1.5 for students.
The paintings date from between 1883 and 1886 in the Kunstler- Compagnie workshop, and can be grouped into three categories – The Peles Castle Gallery of ancestors, ancestors of the king, from the House of Hohenzollern, copies of the works of great masters and original works in the Theater Hall and on the Ladder of honor’s roof.
