Medieval Biertan hosts first Romanian horror film festival

 

What better place could there be to watch a vampire film than an atmospheric medieval Transylvanian town? This is exactly what is on offer at the first “Lună Plină” ( Full Moon ) film festival in Biertan, Sibiu county, dedicated to all things creepy and macabre.

 

 

 

 

 

Focusing on horror and fantasy movies, the event is the first of its kind in Romania and will run between August 16 and 19 this year.

 

There will be two indoor and two outdoor venues, including screenings in the central square overlooked by the fortified medieval church.
